Writing Tutoring and Coaching

Clear, confident writing in English, for university and for exams.

I work one-on-one with students and professionals who want to write better in English. As a native English speaker with a master's in English Studies, I help you build the skills behind good writing: structure, argument, clarity and style.

why work with me?

Writing and feedback are what I do every day.

I'm a native English speaker (U.S.) with a master's degree in English studies from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Università Ca' Foscari in Venice. I’ve successfully written and defended two master’s theses, so I know what it takes to build a sustained academic argument and present it clearly.

  • Academic writing experience. Master’s in English and American Studies, 2024 to 2026, plus a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of Mississippi (Phi Beta Kappa).

  • Experience with English learners. I spent two years as an English Teaching Assistant in Spain, working with non-native speakers and adapting how I explain things to each student.

  • Feedback is my craft. I've edited 10+ manuscripts (developmental editing and copyediting), and I currently judge short story contests for NYC Midnight, writing constructive feedback that balances honest critique with encouragement.

  • I'm a working writer. My essays have appeared in Humans of Mallorca and Sanctuary Literary Magazine, and I publish a personal essay newsletter on Substack.

  • Bilingual. Sessions are in English, but I speak Spanish and can clarify a point in Spanish when it helps.

  • "All in all, your feedback is thoughtful and very personable. It consistently feels like you've considered each writer as someone who's trying their best."

  • "Calley’s wonderful essay on the personal essay was unbelievable, a piece of writing I felt myself thinking back to throughout the month. As you can see, across these pieces, the theme of identity was really calling to me this month, and Calley explored this wonderfully."
